One of the oldest parties in Denmark, the Liberal Party of Denmark (Venstre) is rooted in the liberal tradition emphasizing individual freedom, free markets and liberalization of business. The Liberal Party has been part of the Danish government several times, and held the post of Prime Minister 11 times in all. 

Following the 2022 election, Venstre is a member of the centre coalition government under Prime  Minister Mette Frederisken 

Via DIPD the party has partnerships with the Centre for Multiparty Democracy in Kenya and Democratic Alliance in South Africa.

In Malawi the Liberal Party, the Socialist People's party and DIPD work together with DanChurchAid Malawi and two local organisations to implement a project with funding from the EU focusing on strengthening young womens political participation and influence. The project is called Young Women in Active Politics (YWAP) and as been extended to the end of August 2021 due to COVID19.
