In 1989, three left-wing parties (the Left Socialist Party, the Communist Party of Denmark and the Socialist Workers Party) formed the The Danish Red-Green Alliance (Enhedslisten). It opposes corporate driven globalization, neoliberal policies and privatization, and focuses on the environment and public sector development. Following the parliamentary elections in 2019, the party now serves as a support to the Social Democratic government

In 2013, the Danish Red-Green Alliance and the Swazi political movement the People’s United Democratic Movement (PUDEMO) entered a partnership. The current project, which will run until the middle of 2017, aims to the organizational and political capacity of PUDEMO. This includes the broadening of leadership through training of local and sectoral (women, youth and labour) leaders, as well as policy development.

In 2013 the Danish Red-Green Alliance entered into a partnership with Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), Palestinian People’s Party (PPP) and Palestinian Democratic Union (FIDA) in Palestine. The current project runs until the end of 2017. The aim of the project is to strengthen the cooperation of the progressive youth in Palestine, including the empowerment of women, with a view to enhance democracy in the political life and in the Palestinian society.

Previously Enhedslisten collaborated on a project with the National Popular Resistance Front (FNRP) in Honduras. The resistance movement was in a process of transferring into the political party “Liberty and Renewal” (LIBRE).  Training was conducted primarily aimed at empowering the leading members of the party to take part of the constitutional process.
