Hanne Lund Madsen
Hanne is DIPD’s senior adviser with overall responsibility for the Party-to-Party cooperation projects and the Multi-party programmes in Myanmar, Tanzania and Malawi. Moreover, she is engaged in the overall strategic development of the Institute and the development of tools and methods of work. She represents DIPD in several international organisations including the global Political Party Peer Network.
Before joining DIPD back in October 2011, Hanne has served as adviser in the field of democratization and human rights for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, several UN organisations, local governments, civil society organisations and political movements. Her expertise covers strategic planning, policy and programme development, implementation and evaluation with strong focus on capacity development with political actors and organisations and she has acted as trainer, facilitator and mediator for a wide range of actors globally.
In the Institutes work on political party democracy support she draws on experience from democratization work in more than 30 countries in Africa, Asia, Central America, the Balkans and the Pacific. By training she holds a Master of Science in International Development & Geography from Roskilde and a Master of International Human Rights Law and Humanitarian Law from University of Lund.
