Between 2001 and 2011 the party enjoyed great influence because of its support to the minority coalition government of the Danish Liberal Party (Venstre) and Conservative People’s Party  (Konservative). Today the party provides parliamentary support to the government consisting of the Liberal Party, the Conservative People’s Party and Liberal Alliance.
